Not normally a fan of football, I still found myself rooting for Strike and the Miners. But knowing my students need variety, I decided to give this a try. Sports books and science fiction books don't often make it to my TBR pile. Initially, I wasn't too sure about this book. I booktalked it just after the Super Bowl which also made it an easy sell.more I did see a review that compared this to Real Steel, which is fairly spot on. It could be that football is really not my thing. It reminded me a little of Zeroboxer, but honestly I enjoyed that one quite a bit more. There's a good blend of mystery, betrayal, and sports with plenty of action. I didn't finish this one, but read the beginning, a chunk in the middle, and the end.
